Writing Hiatus

Hello Everyone! First off, I want to thank you all for supporting the Prophecy of the Dragons series. I really appreciate it! Second, I'm afraid I have to announce I'm taking an indefinite hiatus from writing. I promised a new series at the end of Dragon Crystal (which I will be removing soon), and I plan to write it at some point, but not soon. I will also get back to Ben and Andi's story, but it may not happen soon. Life changes circumstances, and it's happened for me. In the meantime, you can still read all of the books I've already published, in addition to the five Prophecy of the Dragons books. I hope you still enjoy those, and will be ready for more when I can get back to writing.  Thank you for your patience and understanding. I will bring you more books, but I can't say when.

Dragon Crystal is Live!

Hi Everyone! First off, let me just say that I'm horrible about blogging. I should have had posts about this upcoming release for at least the last week, if not longer. I relied on Twitter, though, as I'm guessing I will continue to do. So, if you're not, make sure you follow my Twitter account:  @EJKrauseYA   I post most updates there, so if you're not following, go ahead and click it! Second, and most importantly, as the title of this post says, Dragon Crystal, the 5th book in the Prophecy of the Dragons series, is now live! You can download it at Amazon as a Kindle book. Go ahead and click here . This book not only has a seemingly impossible mage to fight, but also introduces the newest dragon and guard pair into the multiverse. Lizzy is the dragon, not quite a dragon year younger than Andi, and Tyler is her new mate, a Dragon Guard with the power to dull magical energy. Like Ben and Andi were born to fight the undead, Lizzy and Tyler are bound in order to battle

Amazon Only

Howdy all! So I told you a couple of weeks ago how I needed to remove the first two books of the Prophecy of the Dragons from Smashwords (and their affiliates) because they were not yet done in the KDP Select run (free to download for Kindle Unlimited members). While I waited, I discovered I get more readers through the KDP Select program than Smashwords or the affiliates, so I decided to re-up Dragon Guard  and Dragon Dreams  to the program and unpublish books 3 and 4 ( Dragon Magic and Dragon Hex ) from Smashwords. I will give them a day or two to be removed from the affiliates, and then I will add those to the KDP Select program, too, so Kindle Unlimited readers will be able to read the entire series for free (not counting their monthly fee, of course!). For any inconvenience this causes non-Kindle customers, I apologize, but for me, this makes more sense. If you don't have a Kindle, remember you can always download the free Kindle app on your phone, tablet, or desktop/lapto

Dragon Guard and Dragon Dreams

Greetings!  I have a quick update for you on Dragon Guard and Dragon Dreams. I need to unpublish them for the month of June on Smashwords and the affiliated premium sites until they are through their run on Amazon's KDP Select. I recently received a note from Amazon saying that I had violated terms with Dragon Guard since it is not Amazon exclusive, and it will be taken off KDP status if I did not fix this. Not a big deal so far, as I don't want it on KDP anymore. But then they said continued "abuse" of the system could end in my participation in the program being terminated, including as a reader. Since Dragon Dreams is also violating the system, technically, I decided to not play with fire, even if nothing might happen. So, what this means is that I took both books down from Smashwords, and therefore the premium sites. I'll have them both back up in July when they've run their course.  I don't know if Dragon Guard will remain perma-free on Amazon, bu

Prophecy of the Dragons Update

Greetings! I have a few things for you today. First off, thank you for your interest in the Prophecy of the Dragons series. Whether you are looking in at it for the first time, or have read each book numerous times, I thank you.  Now, for the news. The book that started it all, Dragon Guard , is now free everywhere you get your ebooks. And I don't mean for merely a few days. I'm talking perma-free. You can download it from Amazon , Smashwords , Barnes & Noble , Kobo , and plenty of other retailers. I'm doing this to get more people into the series.  In addition, I've made the second book of the series, Dragon Dreams , 99¢ at all of the above (including the "plenty of other") retailers. And, as of me typing this, it is still free to read with Kindle Unlimited, and will be until June 28 (unless Amazon cancels it before then, as they might since it is no longer Amazon exclusive). Books 3 & 4, Dragon Magic and Dragon Hex , respectively, are still $2.9

New Blog

Howdy All! I feel like I'm heading in a new direction with placing the Prophecy of the Dragons series on Smashwords, making Dragon Guard free and Dragon Dreams cheaper  (more on that in a moment), and creating an email newsletter soon, so I thought a new-look blog was necessary. My old one was a bit of a mess, so I deleted it for a fresh start. I'll be making it look nice and adding a bunch o' info to it in the coming days and weeks, so I figured I'd put all the initial links in this post. And give you a heads up on what's happening and what's going to happen. This'll be fun, so read on! First off, as I said, I put the Prophecy of the Dragons series to Smashwords. You can find the series here .  It means an end to the books being a part of the Kindle Unlimited reading program, but if you have been meaning to read any of the books there, you still have time. I believe Amazon may take them off at any point (from Kindle Unlimited, not the site overall), b
